A POST-internetic landscape, a POST-feminist scene in a POST-Ironic meme, where the stereotype of the trainwreck girl is supposedly empowered and free to do whatever she wants with her life … or not?
The media ploarization, the panopticon of social networks tells us another story, one of shade, hate and guilt, with exclusive ideas about what it means to be feminine. The abject girls, the ones who break the rules, we get punished.
Beyond sexism, beyond irony, beyond digital, the meme transcends everything, but art tries with a dose of meta-irony to deform and cancel senses, and … who knows, maybe that cringe high, transmodern cynicism will help us pass the hangover and feign insanity.
